PRJ98: Project Stops Responding After Startup Splash Screen (179794)

When you start Microsoft Project 98 on a computer running Microsoft Windows
NT Workstation, you may receive the following error message after the
startup splash screen (Microsoft Project 98 logo) appears:
The instruction at "0x30159f19" referenced memory at "<address>". The memory could not be read.
CAUSE
This problem occurs when Express Meter version 3.5b or earlier is installed
on your computer.

RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, contact WRQ, the makers of Express Meter, and
obtain version 3.6 of Express Meter or later.
Until you can obtain an updated version of Express Meter, you can manually
remove Express Meter from your Windows NT workstation. For more

Express Meter is a network metering software package.
To tell whether Express Meter is running, run the Microsoft System
Information program (Msinfo32.exe) and look at the System DLLs. If you find
Em.dll or EM32, it's likely that Express Meter is running.
