OL98: Line Breaks Lost Sending HTML Mail to QuickMail Express (179762)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Outlook Express 4.0 for Windows 95
- Microsoft Outlook 98
This article was previously published under Q179762
If you send an HTML mail message from Microsoft Outlook 98 or Microsoft
Outlook Express to a recipient using QuickMail Express, when the recipient
views the mail message, the text appears as one long line of text with no
linebreaks.
CAUSE
QuickMail Express, by CE Software, does not support HTML messages.
MORE INFORMATION
When creating an HTML message, Outlook includes a plain text version of the
message body for clients that are unable to interpret HTML formatting.
Quickmail Express does not use the plain text version of the text, but
instead takes the HTML text and strips the HTML tags from the body. This
results in a message that appears as one long line of text.
QuickMail Express is manufactured by CE Software Inc., a vendor independent
of Microsoft; we make no warranty, implied or otherwise, regarding this
product's performance or reliability.
