PUB98: Objects Don't Line Up Correctly with Mirrored Pages (179716)

The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Publisher 98

This article was previously published under Q179716

SYMPTOMS

If you are using mirrored guides in Microsoft Publisher, and you add pages and select "Duplicate all objects on the page," the duplicated objects may not line up correctly with the layout guides on every other page.

WORKAROUND

For each page where the objects are misaligned, select all of the objects on the page and move them over. To select all items on the page, follow these steps.
  1. On the Tools menu, click Snap To Guides.
  2. On the View menu, point to Zoom, and then click Full Page.
  3. Click the upper-left corner of the page.
  4. While holding down the left mouse button, move the cursor to the outer lower-right corner of the page to select all objects on the page.
  5. Release the mouse button and move the mouse to the center of the page. The Move pointer will appear.
  6. While holding down the left mouse button, move the entire selection to the location you want.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
