SYMPTOMS

When you disable Task Scheduler, Task Scheduler may restart after you start Microsoft WebTV for Windows.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur when you start WebTV for Windows.

This behavior is by design.

To disable Task Scheduler, follow these steps:
  1. Click Start, point to Programs, point to Accessories, point to System Tools, and then click Scheduled Tasks.
  2. On the Advanced menu, click Stop Using Task Scheduler.
  3. On the File menu, click Close.
To enable Task Scheduler, follow these steps:
  1. Click Start, point to Programs, point to Accessories, point to System Tools, and then click Scheduled Tasks.
  2. On the Advanced menu, click Start Using Task Scheduler.
  3. On the File menu, click Close.
