OL98: Internet Idioms Errors Using Outlook (179606)

If you run Internet Idioms to enhance the functionality of Microsoft
Exchange, you may receive error messages or failures while using
Microsoft Outlook 98:
Outlook 98 Startup Error
The following error may occur when you attempt to start Outlook 98:
Internet Idioms could not locate the controls on the body of the
standard note form. If you are using Microsoft Exchange or Windows
Messaging, please update your copy of Idioms to a more recent version.
Note that Idioms does not support the Microsoft Outlook 98 client.
Error Sequence Opening a Mail Message:
You may receive the following error sequence when opening a Mail message
while Internet Idioms is installed:
Process: OUTLOOK.EXE File: extprsht.cpp line 220
thread id - 129785.-187205
The message dialog box contains OK and Cancel buttons. clicking OK opens
the message for processing. Clicking Cancel may cause a General Protection
Fault.
CAUSE
Internet Idioms is not compatible with Outlook forms technology.
RESOLUTION
To remove the Internet Idioms add-in from your profile, follow these steps:
- On the Tools menu, click Options.
- On the Other tab, click Advanced Options, and click Add-In Manager.
- Click to uncheck Internet Idioms, then click OK three times to
close Options.
- On the File menu, click Exit and Log Off.
