This article was previously published under Q179204 SYMPTOMS
In Microsoft Publisher 98, when you apply the numbered list Indent setting to a
table with multiple cells, you may notice that each cell in the table includes a
number from the same sequence.
This behavior is different than Publisher 97.
CAUSE
The text engine used by Publisher 98 does not provide the ability to have
multiple different numbering start points per story.
WORKAROUND
To work around this behavior, insert a paragraph mark at the beginning of a
cell. This breaks the numbering sequence.
