SYMPTOMS

When you start your computer and view the Windows 98 Startup menu, the "Safe mode with network support" command may be missing.

CAUSE

This issue occurs because this functionality is not supported in Windows 98.

RESOLUTION

To work around this issue, install the real-mode network drivers included with your network adapter. For information about installing real-mode network drivers, view the documentation included with your network adapter.
