SYMPTOMS

After you create a table, applying an AutoFormat and click OK, the Options (text formatting, text alignment, patterns/shading and borders) of the formatted table are not changed as the preview implies.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, you must change the formatting of the table. To change the formatting of the table, follow these steps:
  1. Select the table.
  2. On the Table menu, click Table AutoFormat.
  3. Click [Default] or [None] to clear the previous formatting options. Click OK.
  4. Select the table.
  5. On the Table menu, click Table AutoFormat.
  6. Under Table Format, select the original table format, and click OK.
  7. Select the options (text formatting, text alignment, patterns/shading and borders) you want and click OK.

The new formatting will be applied as the preview implies.
