FIX: Multi-Threaded Java Apps May Stop When Running on Multi- Processor Computers (179091)

A multi-thread Java application may stop responding when running on a
multi- processor computer. The same application will run without problem
on a single processor computer.
CAUSE
An internal Java Virtual Machine (VM) thread manipulation function is not
multi-thread safe.
RESOLUTION
This problem has been fixed in the latest release build of the Virtual
Machine for Java, 2424, available in Service Pack 1 for Internet Explorer
4.01.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a bug in the Microsoft products listed
at the beginning of this article. This problem has been fixed in Internet
Explorer 4.01 Service Pack 1, and SDK for Java 2.02.
