XL98: Bitmap Image Shrinks When Pasted on a Toolbar Button (179039)

When you copy a bitmap image on a worksheet, dialog sheet or Microsoft
Excel 4.0 macro sheet, and then paste the image on a toolbar button, the
image shrinks and may appear distorted. This problem may occur when you
manually or programmatically copy and paste the bitmap.
CAUSE
This problem occurs if the bitmap image that you copy is formatted with a
border.
WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, remove the border from the image before you
copy it. To do this, follow these steps:
- Hold down the CONTROL key and click the picture. Click Format Picture.
- In the Format Picture dialog box, click the Colors And Lines tab.
- Click No Line in the Line Color list, and then click OK.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products
listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this problem
and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it
becomes available.
