EasyBall Cursor Scheme Used by EasyBall and Mouse (178992)

The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft EasyBall

This article was previously published under Q178992

SYMPTOMS

If you use the mouse to select an EasyBall cursor scheme in Pointerland, the cursor scheme you select in Pointerland is used by both the EasyBall and the mouse.

CAUSE

The Multiple Input Device Driver (MIDD) automatically assigns the cursor scheme you select in Pointerland to the pointing device you use to select the cursor scheme.

RESOLUTION

To prevent this issue from occurring, use the EasyBall to select a cursor scheme in Pointerland.

To restore the cursor scheme used by the mouse and keep the cursor scheme selected in Pointerland, move the pointer with the mouse, move the pointer with the EasyBall, and then move the pointer with the mouse again.

The cursor scheme used by the mouse is restored the second time you move the mouse.
