XL98: Data Maps Are Not Supported in Microsoft Excel 98 (178613)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Excel 98 Macintosh Edition
This article was previously published under Q178613 SYMPTOMS
If you open a workbook that contains a data map, the data map is imported as a picture and appears in
black and white.
If you double-click the data map, you receive the following error message:
Cannot start the source application for this object. There may not be
enough memory available.
CAUSE
This behavior occurs because Microsoft Excel 98 Macintosh Edition does not
include support for data maps. Data maps are temporarily converted into
pictures when you open them in Microsoft Excel 98 Macintosh Edition.
