/join <room name> <password>
/part <room name>

where <new nickname> is the nickname you want use, <room name> is the name of the chat room you want to join, create, or leave, and <password> is the password for the chat room (if the chat room is password protected).

The following sections are examples of how you can use these supported IRC commands.

Change Nickname

To change your nickname to Flatrock, type the following command, and then press ENTER:

/nick Flatrock

Join or Create a Chat Room

To join or create a chat room, type the following command, and then press ENTER:

If <room name> is the name of an existing chat room on the chat server, you join that chat. If <room name> is not an existing chat room on the server, the room is created and you automatically join the room.

NOTE: If you create a chat room with a password, you must enable password protection in the chat room. For example, to create and join a password- protected room called Locked with the password of "password," type the following command, and then press ENTER:

/join #Locked password

Leave a Chat Room

To leave a specific chat room, type the following command, and then press ENTER:

/part #<room name>

NOTE: If you want to exit the current room, do not type a room name.
