SYMPTOMS

When you remove the Banyan Vines 32-bit network client for Windows 95, you may receive the following error message:
Failed to load resource DLL (VNSNDIR.DLL)

CAUSE

When you remove the Banyan Vines 32-bit client using the Network tool in Control Panel, the Banyan Vines protocol for Windows 95 is not removed automatically before the computer is restarted. If the Banyan Vines protocol is not removed from the Network tool, it does not appear in the Network tool after you restart your computer, but an error message occurs every time you double-click the Network tool.

RESOLUTION

To work around this issue, install the Banyon Vines network client for Windows 95 from the original installation location, and then immediately remove the Banyan Vines client and protocol from the Network tool in Control Panel.
