When you start Microsoft Encarta Encyclopedia for Windows, you may be
unable to view the Windows taskbar while Encarta is running maximized.
CAUSE
This behavior can occur if the display resolution is set to 640 x 480 and
the Auto Hide taskbar setting is disabled.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, use either of the following methods.
Increase Display Resolution to 800 x 600 or Larger
To do this:
- Click Start, point to Settings, and then click
Control Panel.
- Double-click Display.
- On the Settings tab, move the Desktop area
or Screen area slider to the right to change the
setting to 800 x 600 pixels or higher.
- Click OK, and then click OK again.
- Close Control Panel.
Enable the Auto Hide Taskbar Setting
To do this:
- Click Start, point to Settings, and then click
Taskbar or Taskbar & Start Menu.
- On the Taskbar Options tab, click to select the Auto
Hide check box.
- Click OK.
