SYMPTOMS

When you run System File Checker, it may detect that the Drwatson.vxd file has been deleted.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if Dr. Watson is running when System File Checker updates its verification information. Dr. Watson dynamically creates the Drwatson.vxd file while it is running. The file is deleted when you quit Dr. Watson.

MORE INFORMATION

System File Checker verifies the integrity of your operating system files. It offers to restore damaged files and it can be configured to prompt for changed or deleted files.

Dr. Watson collects detailed information about the state of your computer at the time of a problem. Dr. Watson is not loaded by default. To start Dr. Watson automatically at startup, create a shortcut to the Drwatson.exe file in your Startup group.
