Adobe Type Manager (ATM) is manufactured by Adobe, a vendor independent of Microsoft; we make no warranty, implied or otherwise, regarding this product's performance or reliability.

SYMPTOMS

When you install Adobe Type Manager (ATM), version 3.8.1, by Adobe Systems Incorporated, the System supplied suitcases that contain both individual bitmapped fonts and TrueType fonts may be replaced. The ATM suitcases contain only 10 point and 12 point bitmapped fonts.

The following fonts will be affected:

Courier
Helvetica
Symbol
Times

If you format your text with any of these typefaces and set the font size to anything other than 10 or 12 point, the text may not be displayed or printed correctly.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, reinstall the Macintosh System fonts.
