OL97: Conflicting Appointment Allowed in Calendar Subfolders (177915)

The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Outlook 97

This article was previously published under Q177915

SYMPTOMS

When you set up an appointment in a secondary calendar, you will not be notified if the new appointment conflicts with an existing appointment.

CAUSE

Calendar options that require an action such as notification of conflicting appointments only apply to your primary calendar. The primary calendar is determined by the delivery location of your e-mail. Microsoft Outlook applies these actions to only one calendar per user session. There is no mechanism to apply these actions to other calendars.

MORE INFORMATION

To use another calendar as your primary calendar, change the delivery location of your e-mail. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. On the Tools menu, click Services.
  2. On the Delivery tab in the "Deliver new mail to the following location" click to select the new delivery location from the list.
  3. Click Apply and then click OK.
