The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Word 98 Macintosh Edition
This article was previously published under Q177755 SYMPTOMS
When you make changes to a published drawing object, the published edition
or any subscriptions to that edition may not be updated.
CAUSE
This problem occurs when both of the following conditions are true:
- A drawing object (object created using the Drawing toolbar) is anchored
to a paragraph.
-and-
- The paragraph the object is anchored to is published.
Changes such as fill color and line color do not cause the drawing object
in a published edition to be updated.
This problem occurs even if you select the published paragraph, click
Publishing on the Edit menu, point to Published Object, and click Send
Edition Now in the publisher options dialog box.
WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, make a change to the paragraph that the drawn
object is anchored to and save the document containing the publisher. The
subscriptions will be updated during the save if the document they are in
is open, or, they will be updated the next time the document containing
them is opened.
