Return To Center Force Does Not Work on the Test Forces Tab (177164)

You can configure the Return To Center force effect on the Settings tab in the Game Controllers tool. To do so, use the following steps:

1. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
2. Double-click Game Controllers.
3. Click your Microsoft SideWinder Force Feedback game controller, and then click Properties.
4. Move the Return To Center slider to the setting that you want, place your hand around the SideWinder Force Feedback game controller handle, and then move the SideWinder Force Feedback game controller handle to test the force effect.

NOTE: SideWinder Force Feedback game controllers use two optical sensors on the handle to detect your hand. When you are not holding the handle, the game controller does not test the force feedback effects.
