PRJ98: Microsoft Project Stops Responding Creating New Calendar (177024)

In Microsoft Project 98, if you create a new calendar for an inserted
project, you may receive the following error.
In Windows 95:
This Program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down.
If the problem persists, contact the program vendor
If you click the Details button, the following information will be
displayed:
WINPROJ caused an invalid page fault in module WINPROJ.EXE at
0137:301332d9.
On Windows NT:
An application error has occurred and an application error log is being
generated.

Exception: access violation(0x0000005), Address: 0x301332d9
CAUSE
This problem occurs when your are in a project that contains at least one
inserted project and you create a new calendar for the inserted project.
WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, open the inserted project file in its own
window and create the new calendar there rather than in the consolidated
file. To do this, follow these steps:
- On the File menu, click Open.
- Select the inserted project, and then click Open.
- On the Tools menu, click Change Working Time.
- Click New.
After you create the calendar, you can return to the consolidated file.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the versions of Microsoft
Project listed above.
This problem was corrected in Microsoft Project 98 for Windows, Service
Release 1 (SR-1).
