This article was previously published under Q177022 SYMPTOMS
In Microsoft Project 98, if you have a task that has leveling delay
assigned to a resource assignment, delay may also be assigned to the
resource assignment.
CAUSE
Delay will be added to a task when all of the following conditions are
true:
- Your resource pool was saved in MPP format.
- Your project was saved in a database format.
- The project shares resources from the pool.
- You followed these steps:
- You assign Leveling Delay to a resource.
- On the Tools menu, point to Resources, and click
Update Pool.
- Save the project (still in the database format).
- Close both files.
- Reopen both files.
WORKAROUND
To workaround this problem, save both files in either MPP format or MPD
format.
