Buttons on Toolbar Created in Earlier Version May Lose Color (176839)

SYMPTOMS

When you display a toolbar that was created in an earlier version of Microsoft Excel, some toolbar buttons are not colored as they were in the earlier version of Excel.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, edit the toolbar button and restore the color. To do this, follow these steps:

  1. On the View menu, point to Toolbars, and then click Customize.
  2. Click the Commands tab.
  3. Click the toolbar button that you want to change, and then click Modify Selection.
  4. Click Edit Button Image.
  5. Adjust the color of the button image.
  6. Click OK, and then click Close.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
