available. The Office 97 File and Registry Eraser Utility removes most of the
files and Windows registry settings that remain on the computer after you
remove Office. This utility is designed to be run after you run the Setup
program for Office and click Remove All to remove Office. This utility is also designed to be used on
stand-alone computers or workstations.

NOTES- Q158658 applies to Microsoft Windows 95, Microsoft Windows
98, and Microsoft Windows NT 4.0.
- If there are no other programs installed in your Microsoft
Office folder (Microsoft Publisher 98, for example), make sure you delete the
Microsoft Office folder from your Program Files folder before you run the
Office 97 File and Registry Eraser Utility. The Microsoft Office folder and
Office fonts are not removed with this utility.
- Microsoft does not recommend running the Office 97 File and
Registry Eraser Utility on a computer on which Office 2000 has been installed.
This utility is not designed for use with Office 2000.
- The eraser utility does not run on operating systems later
than Microsoft Windows 2000.
