Disconnecting from MSN Does Not Reset Your Modem to Answer Mode (176711)

After you disconnect from MSN, The Microsoft Network, your modem may not
answer incoming calls although you configured it to do so.
CAUSE
This behavior may occur if you are running any of the following operating systems and your modem is not reset correctly when you disconnect from MSN: - Microsoft Windows 95 retail
release (version 4.00.950)
- Windows 95 OEM Service Release 1 (OSR1)
- Windows 95 Service Pack 1 (version 4.00.950A)
- Windows 95 OEM Service
Release 2 (version 4.00.950B)
RESOLUTION
To resolve this behavior, install Dial-Up Networking 1.3. To do so, follow
these steps: - Open Internet Explorer.
- In the Address box, type the following Internet address, and then press ENTER:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/getisdn/dload.htm - Follow the instructions on the screen to download and install Dial-Up
Networking 1.3.
- Quit Internet Explorer.
