Err Msg: You Must Have Cinemania Installed on Your Machine... (176387)

SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to download a monthly update for Microsoft Cinemania for Windows, you may receive the following error message:
You must have Cinemania installed on your machine to update.

CAUSE

The Download Wizard installed by Cinemania may be missing or damaged.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, delete the Download Wizard, and then remove and reinstall Cinemania. To do so, use the following steps:
  1. Click Start, point to Find, and then click Files or Folders.
  2. In the Named box, type dwizard.exe, and then click Find Now.
  3. In the list of found files, right-click the Dwizard.exe file, and then click Delete.
  4. Close the Find: Files Named Dwizard.exe window.
  5. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
  6. Double-click Add/Remove Programs.
  7. On the Install/Uninstall tab, click Microsoft Cinemania 97, and then click Add/Remove.

    NOTE: The Cinemania 97 compact disc must be in the CD-ROM drive when you perform this step.
  8. Click OK.
  9. Close Control Panel, and then reinstall Cinemania.
