FP98: Printing Page with Form on It Causes GPF in DIBENG.DLL (176369)

SYMPTOMS

When you try to print your page with a form on it in the FrontPage Editor, you may receive the following error message:
Fpeditor: An error has occurred in your program. To keep working anyway, Click Ignore and save your work in a new file. To quit this program, Click close. You will lose information you entered since your last save.
When you click Close, you receive the following error message:
This program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down. If the problem persists, contact the program vendor.
If you click Details, you see the following message:
   FPEDITOR caused a general protection fault in module DIBENG.DLL
				

CAUSE

This error occurs if you are using version 2.40 of the Hewlett-Packard HP LaserJet 5si printer driver for Windows 95.

Note: you may also receive this error if you are using an older printer driver for a LaserJet 1100.

RESOLUTION

Upgrade to version 2.50 of the Hewlett-Packard HP LaserJet 5si printer driver. You can downloaded this printer driver from Hewlett-Packard's World Wide Web site: After you connect to this site, select "LaserJet 5si" in the list of printers, click "Software," and then click Go. If you are using a LaserJet 1100, click "LaserJet 1100", click "Software," and then click Go.

Click the "Windows 95 Printing Software Now Includes Standalone Drivers" link to go to the Lj146en.exe.html page.
