The information in this article applies to:

  • DreamWorks Interactive, Dilbert's Desktop Games 1.0

This article was previously published under Q176223

SYMPTOMS

When you start Dilbert's Desktop Games, the colors on-screen may change, and your desktop colors may appear faded.

CAUSE

This behavior is normal and can occur if you are using a color depth setting of 256 colors.

When you start Dilbert's Desktop Games, control of the color palette is given to the program. This may cause the color palette to shift, which can cause the colors to change.

RESOLUTION

The color palette shifts back when you close Dilbert's Desktop Games.

You can also resolve this problem by increasing the color depth setting.

To change the color depth in Microsoft Windows, follow these steps:

  1. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
  2. Double-click Display.
  3. Click the Settings tab.
  4. In the Color Palette or Colors box, click High Color (16 bit) or True Color (24 bit).
  5. Click OK.
