When you insert or consolidate files in one Microsoft Project master file,
you may not be able to easily determine the source file from which the task
originated. This article describes how to use the Project field to list the
source file name of the inserted project.
In Microsoft Project 98/2000, inserting subprojects into a master project
replaces the consolidated project feature of earlier versions of Microsoft
Project.
