SYMPTOMS

When you start Microsoft Golf for Windows 3.0, you may not be able to change the preferences of the character that you select.

CAUSE

This problem may occur if Golf for Windows 3.0 is installed to the root folder on the hard disk.

RESOLUTION

To resolve the problem, follow these steps:
  1. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
  2. Double-click Add/Remove Programs.
  3. Remove Golf for Windows 3.0.
  4. Reinstall Golf for Windows 3.0. Make sure that there is a path after the drive letter--for example, C:\Golf3.
