OL97: Outlook Bar is Missing when Starting in Another Folder (174243)

When you start Microsoft Outlook 97 with a command-line switch to open in
a folder other than the default, the Outlook Bar does not display.
CAUSE
When you use a command-line switch to open a specific folder within
Outlook, the View Outlook Bar command defaults to off. Outlook does not
provide a command-line switch to control the View Outlook Bar command.
RESOLUTION
Use one of the following methods to display the Outlook Bar:
Method 1
After starting Outlook, on the View menu, click Outlook Bar.
Method 2
After starting Outlook, press ALT+V, then press the O key.
