XADM: Exchange Server Does not Support the AUTH-LOGIN Authentication Mechanism (174152)

SYMPTOMS

The Microsoft Exchange Server IMAP component does not support the AUTH-LOGIN authentication mechanism.

CAUSE

This feature is not implemented in the current versions of Microsoft Exchange Server.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be an issue in Microsoft Exchange Server, version 5.5. We are researching this issue and will post more information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
