SYMPTOMS

When you double-click a profile name in Windows Explorer, SideWinder Game Device Profiler may not open the correct profile. In addition, attempting to open a new profile in SideWinder Profile Activator may not create a new profile.

CAUSE

If SideWinder Game Device Profiler is already running on your computer, the currently open game device profile is made active, rather than opening or creating a new profile.

RESOLUTION

To open or create a new profile, use the File menu in SideWinder Game Device Profiler. Or, you can quit Game Device Profiler before you open a profile from Windows Explorer.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft SideWinder Game Device Software.
