PRJ: Percent Complete Not Redistributed When Duration Changed (172909)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Project 2000
- Microsoft Project 98 for Windows
This article was previously published under Q172909 SYMPTOMS
If you set a task to 100% complete and then change the duration of the
task, the percent complete will be distributed over the initial duration of
the task rather than the new duration of the task.
CAUSE
Once you set a task to 100% complete, Microsoft Project will no longer
perform calculations on it. The percent complete is calculated for the
duration of the task at the time when it reaches 100%.
WORKAROUND
To recalculate the task, change the percent complete to a value other than
100%, such as 0% or 99%, and then change the percent complete back to 100%.
The value should be calculated correctly.
