The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Project 98 for Windows
  • the operating system: Microsoft Windows NT 4.0

This article was previously published under Q172903

SYMPTOMS

If you have a Microsoft Project file that contains a text box that spans multiple pages, some of the text will be printed at the top of the page in the timescale area and some of the text will be printed in the timescale area of the following page.

CAUSE

This problem occurs if you are using a PCL printer driver. In this case, the printer driver does not perform vertical clipping, causing the last line of the first page to be printed twice.

WORKAROUND

If you have access to a postscript printer configure it with the postscript printer driver and then print the file.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the versions of Microsoft Project listed above.
