PRJ98: Unlinking Task Results in Removal of All Links (172729)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Project 98 for Windows
This article was previously published under Q172729 SYMPTOMS
In Microsoft Project 98, if you select a task and then unlink the task, all
predecessor and successor tasks (links) will be deleted. This applies to
external predecessor and successor tasks as well as normal tasks. For example, if you select a task and then click Unlink Tasks on the Edit menu, all tasks linked to the task will be unlinked in both the source project and the active project.
RESOLUTION
To remove a predecessor or successor task, unlink the predecessor or successor task rather than the external predecessor or successor task.
