Microsoft Office 97 file formats are significantly different than Microsoft Office 95 file formats. Consequently, Office 95 programs cannot read any file saved by the corresponding Office 97 program.

The practice disks included with the books listed above contain files saved in Office 97 file formats. Therefore, if you have Office 95 instead of Office 97, you cannot read these files. Moreover, because of the many feature changes between Office 95 and Office 97, the information in the Office 97 books may not apply to Office 95 programs.
