SYMPTOMS A DLC program may not be able to receive broadcast packets
in Windows 95/98 using Microsoft's 32-bit Data Link Control protocol (MSDLC32).
CAUSE MSDLC32 does not receive packets addressed to the broadcast
address for the network medium. RESOLUTION This issue is resolved by the following updated file for
Windows 95 and Windows 95 OEM Service Release 2 (OSR2):
DLC.VXD version 4.10.995 dated 6/18/97 237,470 bytes
To install this update, follow these steps: - Download the Dlc32upd.exe file from the online service
listed below to an empty folder.
- In My Computer or Windows Explorer, double-click the
Dlc32upd.exe file you downloaded in step 1.
- Follow the instructions on the screen.

Microsoft scanned this file for viruses. Microsoft used the most
current virus-detection software that was available on the date that the file
was posted. The file is stored on security-enhanced servers that help to
prevent any unauthorized changes to the file.
STATUS Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft
Windows 95, Microsoft Windows 95 OEM Service Release 2, and Microsoft Windows
98. There is currently no resolution for this problem in Windows 98.
