PRJ98: Text Displayed Incorrectly Using Large Fonts Setting (170709)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Project 98 for Windows
This article was previously published under Q170709 SYMPTOMS
When you enable Large Fonts in the Display Control Panel, you may not be able to see all of the information in your project file. For example, the Finish Field on the Resource Form may not be wide enough and the last digit of the year may not be visible.
CAUSE
Microsoft Project 98 was designed to use Small Fonts rather than Large
Fonts. The Large Font size will work but can result in the text not being
displayed correctly in Microsoft Project.
WORKAROUND
To work around this behavior, set the Display font size to Small Fonts,
using these steps:
- On the Windows Start menu, point to Settings, and then
click Control Panel.
- Double-click the Display icon.
- Click the Settings tab.
- In the Font Size box, select Small Fonts, and then
click OK.
When prompted to restart Windows, click Yes. The new font size
will be used when you restart your computer.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the versions of Microsoft
Project listed above.
