PUB97: Image Color Matching Disabled With Canon BJC-4100 (169993)

If you are printing to a Canon BJC-4100 printer, the "Improve Screen and
Printer Color Matching" check box in the Print dialog box (on the File
menu, click Print) and the Options dialog box (on the Tools menu, click
Options, and then click the General tab) is unavailable (dimmed).
CAUSE
This symptom occurs when you use version 3.20 of the Canon BJC-4100 printer
driver for Windows 95.
This may also apply to other Canon BJ series printers.
RESOLUTION
Update the Canon BJ series printer driver to version 3.70E This version of
the printer driver supports Image Color Matching.
STATUS
Microsoft is researching this problem and will post new information
here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
MORE INFORMATION
Publisher 97 supports Image Color Matching, where color printer
output is processed at a closer rendition to that of screen colors
and hues.
