SYMPTOMS

When you are reviewing filtered mail that is sorted by an Inbox Assistant rule, rules that contain extended characters are ignored.

CAUSE

Inbox Assistant cannot identify extended characters and cannot sort mail based on rules that contain extended characters.

RESOLUTION

Do not use extended characters when you are defining rules.

An extended character is any ASCII (American Standard Code for Information Interchange) character between 128 and 255. Extended characters (also known as "extended ASCII") can add up to 128 additional characters to the standard ASCII character set, such as accented letters, graphics characters, and special symbols.
