Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create a new ActiveX control.
  2. View-code of control and place the following text:
          Option Explicit

          Private Myfunc1

          Private Sub UserControl_InitProperties()
              Myfunc1 = "Hi"
          End Sub

          Public Property Let Myfunc1(btest)
              ' notice marz does not exist (should be btest)
                    Myfunc1 = marz
          End Property

          Public Property Get ftest()
              Myfunc1 = Myfunc1
          End Property

  3. Close the control.
  4. Add a new standard.exe project.
  5. Place the control on the form. You'll get a compile error on the assignment in the Myfunc1 property let:
    "variable not defined"
  6. Halt execution (run->end).
Expected:
  • No error
Result:
  • You get the following error:
    "An error occurred getting a property of a Visual Basic Control. Error code 800A9C68 Repository Add-in for Visual Basic is shutting down"
