XL97: Fill Colors May Be Saved Incorrectly with WK3 File (168788)

SYMPTOMS

When you apply a fill color to a range of cells on a Microsoft Excel 97 worksheet, and then save the worksheet in the "WK3,FM3" file format, the fill color of the range may be changed to black when you reopen the file in Microsoft Excel 97. Also, when you open the file in Lotus 1-2-3, no fill color is present on the range of cells to which you previously applied a fill color in Microsoft Excel 97.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.

Dark Teal
Gray-80%
Gray-50%
Gray-40%
Gray-25%
Rose
Tan
Light Yellow

Pale Blue
Lavender
White
