NetMeeting Chat Displays Zero Users (167999)

SYMPTOMS

When you are using Chat in Microsoft NetMeeting version 2.0, the title bar may display "zero users connected." When this occurs, Chat messages may appear on the screen from another user, but you cannot send Chat messages to that person.

CAUSE

The other user is running a Beta version of NetMeeting.

RESOLUTION

Install the released version of NetMeeting 2.0 on the computer running the Beta version.

You can download the released version of NetMeeting 2.0 from the Microsoft Web site at:

http://www.microsoft.com/netmeeting/

NOTE: Chats between the released versions of NetMeeting 2.0 and NetMeeting 1.0 do not have this problem.
