When making a long distance call in Microsoft Money, Dialing Properties may need to be modified if a code/password is required to access the number at that location.

Steps for Money 99

  1. Click Online on the navigation bar, and then double-click the bank you want.
  2. Click the Connect tab.
  3. Click the Connect button at the bottom of the screen; then click Dialing Properties.
  1. Click Calling Card.
  2. In the Calling Card dialog box, click New.
  3. Enter the name of the calling card and click OK.
  4. Enter the setting for the calling card and click OK.
  5. If the calling card is to be used on long distance calls, click "For Long Distance calls, Use This Calling Card."
  6. Click your calling card in the list.
  7. Click Apply and then click OK.

Steps for Money 98, and 5.0

  1. Click Connect in Online Banking for Money 98 or Home Banking for 5.0, and then click Dialing Properties.
  2. Click to select "Dial using Calling Card."
  3. Click New and enter a name such as Test. Click OK.
  4. Click Advanced. Enter these settings: 
          Field                               Dialing Rule
      -----                               ------------
      Calls Within The Same Area Code     FG
      Long Distance Calls                 1FGXXXXXXX
      International Calls                 011EFG

      Where XXXXXXX is replaced by the long distance password.
  5. Click Close and click OK.
  6. Click OK again.
The Phone number field now shows the phone number followed by the required code/password.

Steps for Money 4.0

  1. Click Call in Online Services and then click Dialing Properties.
  2. Click to select "Dial using Calling Card."
  3. Click New and enter a name such as Test. Click OK.
  4. Click Advanced and enter these settings:
