SYMPTOMS

When you disable the ControlBox property of a form, you are no longer able to gain access to the View menu by pressing ALT+V.

RESOLUTION

To have the View menu appear by pressing ALT+V after setting the ControlBox property of the form to No, you must press and then release the ALT key, and then press the V key.

Steps to Reproduce Behavior

  1. Create and save a new blank form.
  2. On the View menu, click Form View.
  3. Press ALT+V on the keyboard to bring up the View menu.
  4. On the View menu, click Design View.
  5. Change the ControlBox property of the form to No. Save the form.
  6. Switch the form to Form view, and press ALT+V again. Note that the View menu is not displayed and that you receive a Beep.
