ACC97: Large Icons on Toolbars Only Affect Top Level Bars (167664)

SYMPTOMS

When you customize your toolbars to use large icons in Microsoft Office 97 or Microsoft Office 97 Professional Edition, only the top level toolbars display large icons. Any toolbars below the top level continue to display small icons.

RESOLUTION

There is no work around. This behavior is by design, and applies to all Microsoft Office 97 and Microsoft Office 97 Professional Edition applications.

Steps to Reproduce Behavior


  1. Start Microsoft Access 97 and open the sample database Northwind.mdb.
  2. On the View menu, point to Toolbars, and then click Customize on the menu that appears.
  3. Click the Options tab in the Customize dialog box.
  4. Click to select the Large Icons check box, and then click Close. Note that your toolbar icons are displayed as large icons.
  5. On the Insert menu, click Form.
  6. In the New Form dialog box, select Design View, and then click OK.
  7. If the Toolbox toolbar is not displayed, click Toolbox on the View menu.
  8. Click the More Controls button on the Toolbox toolbar. Note that all icons on the More Controls toolbar are displayed small icons.
