When you click OK, you are no longer connected to the chat server.

CAUSE

This problem can occur if many users are connected to the chat server when you attempt to update the user list.

RESOLUTION

To work around this problem, reconnect to the chat server, and then attempt to update the user list again. If you continue to receive the message, try again at a later time.

This problem is not unique to Microsoft Chat. Other chat clients and servers may disconnect you if you request a user or chat room list when there are many users or chat rooms on the server.
