Cannot Change Whisper Box Font in Comic Strip View (167161)

SYMPTOMS

When you run Microsoft Chat in Comic Strip view, there is no option to change the font used in a Whisper box.

RESOLUTION

To change the font used in a Whisper box, you must be using Microsoft Chat in Plain Text view. If you are running Microsoft Chat in Comic Strip view and you want to change the font used in a Whisper box, follow these steps:
  1. On the View menu, click Plain Text.
  2. Open a Whisper box by clicking a chat member's name in the Member pane, and then clicking Whisper Box on the Member menu.
  3. Click Options on the View menu, click the Text View tab, and then click Change Font.
  4. In the "Choose a message type to change its font" box, click Whispers.
  5. Specify the type of font that you want to use, click OK, and then click OK again.
  6. On the View menu, click Comic Strip.

MORE INFORMATION

You can use a Whisper box to send a private message to a chat member. Other chat members cannot see the message.
