OL97: Voting Messages and Meeting Invitations Missing Buttons (166901)

SYMPTOMS

When you send a meeting invitation or click Use Voting Buttons, the buttons may be missing from the received message.

CAUSE

You are using the Internet Mail transport service and have not chosen to send e-mail to the recipient in Rich Text Format (RTF).

RESOLUTION

Select the Internet Mail option for sending e-mail in RTF for each recipient.

To select the RTF sending option for a contact, follow these steps:
  1. Open a contact.
  2. Double-click the e-mail address.
  3. On the SMTP tab, click to select "Always send to this recipient in Microsoft Outlook rich-text format" and then click OK.
  4. Click Save and then Close.

Selecting the RTF Sending Option for Personal Address Book Entries

To select the RTF sending option for Personal Address Book entries, follow these steps:
  1. In the Inbox view, click the Address Book button on the toolbar.
  2. In the "Show Names from the" list, click Personal Address Book.
  3. Double-click the recipient's entry.
  4. On the SMTP tab, click to select the "Always send to this recipient in Microsoft Outlook rich-text format" check box and then click OK.
  5. Click Save and then Close.
